NEET MDS 2021 Counselling Schedule Released Online
Union Health Ministry representatives plan to commence the NEET MDS admissions counselling process from 20 August 2021 to the Supreme Court.
Union Health Ministry representatives have communicated their intention to start the NEET MDS 2021 counselling process to the Supreme Court. Thus, the entrance examination board will open the admissions counselling facility on the official website (mcc.nic.in) from 20 August 2021 to 10 October 2021.
There has been a delay of eight months regarding the medical admissions process, which several authoritative bodies have criticised. For example, the Supreme Court issued a complaint against the board, stating the MCC’s deferment was “unjust and infinite.”
Earlier on Monday, the SC had ordered the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to provide examination schedules by 11 August 2021. In response, pertinent officials have finalised the counselling procedure, which will take place shortly. In addition, NEET MDS 2021 counselling will occur wholly online due to COVID-19 constraints.
NEET MDS 2021 Counselling: Quota Updation for OBC/EWS
In addition, government representatives announced a 27 per cent medical admissions reservation quota for OBC category students. Moreover, there will be a 10 per cent reservation for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) medical programme candidates. This updated reservation policy will apply to undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental programmes throughout India.
10% reservation for students belonging to EWS – Economically Weaker Section; under the All India Quota seats for medical admissions. Hence, institutions must apply the new quotas from the 2021-22 academic year. Thus, the admissions counselling process will start on 20 August with pertinence towards this policy.
