Words from the Officials on NEET PG 2022 Counselling
Officials said that NEET PG counselling 2022 will start for all deemed universities, central universities, 50 per cent All India quota seats and state quota seats for dental and medical colleges simultaneously. They told the PTI that the Ministry of Health would conduct counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services will conduct the counselling online.
The officials further said that the government has decided to conduct a special round of counselling to prevent the wastage of seats. In the academic year of 2021, 748 seats remained vacant in NEET Super speciality counselling. So, this year the government has decided to have counselling without any cut-off percentile eligibility. In the larger public interest, this will be a one-time measure and prevent wastage of seats.
The NEET-SS 2021 special mop-up round II counselling is going to begin on Tuesday. A senior official said that NEET PG is held every year in January and the counselling process starts in March. However, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and last year’s delayed admission process, this year the exam took place on 21st May. On 1st June 2022 officials declared the NEET PG results.
