NEET UG 2022 Likely to Be Postponed

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the NEET UG 2022 notification soon on the official website. According to multiple media reports, the NEET 2022 exam will most likely be moved to July. Also, the application process for the same will commence on April 1, 2022.

Aspirants must note that the NTA has not yet confirmed the exam date for NEET UG 2022. Moreover, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) had suggested the last two weeks of June as the suitable time for conducting the exam. It is because, numerous boards including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), will finish their board exams in mid-June. Hence, the NTA must consider this suggestion for its candidates’ convenience.

Furthermore, some of the experts from the education industry pointed out that the NTA would be busy with the announcement of the JEE Main 2022 results in the month of June. As a result, the NTA cannot conduct the NEET UG 2022 exam in the same month.

Also to add, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has removed the maximum age restriction for NEET-UG medical aspirants to appear for the entrance exam, as per the latest updates. Previously, it was 25 years for unreserved students and 30 years for reserved candidates.

For the unversed, NEET, formerly known as the AIPMT, is an aptitude test for MBBS and BDS programs in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of these examinations and conducts the same on yearly basis. Prior to the NTA, this test was conducted by the Central Secondary Education Board (CBSE). Also, talking about the lesser-known fact, this exam provides 90,000 in MBBS and BDS Colleges in India.
