NEET Counselling 2022: Seat Resignation Facility Restarted for Round 1
Medical Counselling Committee has reopened the Round 1 seat resignation window of NEET counselling 2022 till 7 PM of Nov 2.
NEET Counselling 2022: The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC has reopened the seat resignation process of NEET counselling 2022 Round 1 on Nov 2. Candidates can resign their seats till 7 PM today. Seat registration can be done at the official MCC website- mcc.nic.in
Previously, the last date for seat resignation was Nov 1, 5 PM. The institute reporting process ended on Oct 29.
MCC has stated, “It is for information that candidates can resign the seat of Round-1 till 07 PM of Nov 2, after which they will be considered as part of Round-2 and same rules will apply to them as applicable for round 2 of counselling."
Candidates must complete the seat resignation process online and must download the resignation letter online in PDF format by logging in to the MCC website. It is likely that the registration process for NEET counselling 2022 round 2 after 7 PM today.

How to Download NEET Counselling 2022 Seat Resignation Letter
Follow the below-given steps to download the NEET 2022 counselling seat registration letter.
- Visit the official website of MCC- mcc.nic.in
- On the homepage, log in with the registration number and password.
- Click on the 'Registration Letter' link available.
- Download the PDF of the registration letter
- Take a printout of the registration letter for future reference.
In case a candidate gives consent for upgradation in round 2, participates in round 2 NEET counselling 2022 but is not upgraded, he/she cannot resign the seat allotted in round 2 and will have to retain the seat. In such a case rules of round 2 will apply since the candidate has exercised choices and participated in round 2. There is no option of resignation if the candidate is not upgraded in round 2.
Round 1 joined candidates who neither participate in round 2 nor resign from the seat of round 1 will be considered part of round 2 after the stipulated time.
