NEET UG Counselling 2023: Old Vs. New System for Counselling
In the old system for NEET UG Counselling 2023, the candidates are required to register and pay the fees separately for the All India Quota Seats and the State Quota seats. The Medical Counselling Committee conducts the counseling for the AIQ seats, which amounts to 15% of the seats available. On the other hand, state medical counseling will be conducted by the authorities at the respective state level.
Now, with the new system, candidates will not have to register separately. They will only have to register at a common platform for both quotas. The new system is expected to make the counseling process easier for candidates.
Candidates must note that the NEET UG 2023 Counselling will be conducted per the old system.
NEET UG Counselling: MBBS Supplementary Batches Scraped
NMC has announced that it will do away with the MBBS Supplementary batches. So far, the supplementary exams have been conducted six months after the result declaration. Per the new regulations, the candidates can appear for the supplementary exams 3 to 6 weeks after the result declaration. This will allow these candidates to join the regular batches in the same year.
