The National Medical Commission has revised the eligibility criteria for the NEET UG 2022 examinations and will upload on the website.
The National Medical Commission has revised the eligibility criteria for the NEET UG 2022 examinations. Authorities will declare the official notification for the entrance exams on the official website of the National Testing Agency soon. As per the reports, the NMC has advised the NTA to revise the NEET UG eligibility criteria and remove any upper age limit for applying for the entrance exams.
The move will be a relief to many aspirants who have been waiting for the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the same. The NMC in 2019 had introduced an upper age limit of 25 years for UG exams which was contested, and a petition was filed in the Supreme Court.
However, authorities had suspended the matter and allowed the people to appear for the exams. Additionally, officials have now revised the condition of an upper age limit, and there is no fixed upper age limit. Therefore, candidates who have completed 18 years of age as of 21 December of the year of the exams are eligible to appear for the NEET UG exams.
Moreover, candidates interested in appearing can keep checking the official website for further news. Officials will conduct the NEET-UG exams in offline mode in 9 regional languages along with English, Hindi, and Urdu.
