NExT Exam Deferred Until Further Notice, Confirms NMC
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has postponed the NExT the (National Exit Test) 2024 until further notice amid the nationwide protest.
NExT Exam Deferred: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has postponed the National Exit Test, NExT 2024 exam until further notice. As per the official notification released on the NMC website, the NExT 2024 exam has been postponed and the official dates will be announced soon in the future.

The official notification by the NMC stated that "All the stakeholders are hereby informed that the National Exit Test (NExT) examination is deferred on the advice of the Ministry dated July 11, 2023, till further directions from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare".
Dr Rohan Krishnan, National Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association, via Twitter, stated that "NEXT deferred till further order. I once again thank @PMOIndia and @mansukhmandviya Sir for this. IMGs are not ready for NEXT at the moment. I think we need to make a lot of changes in the proposed NEXT exam. All the best to students for NEET PG AND FINAL MBBS"
The NExT exam deferred due to the high fee the NMC fixed for the NExT mock test 2024. The senior doctors and NExT 2024 aspirants condemned the NMC as they are making money by setting a maximum fee for NExt 2024.
