NExT Mock Test Cancelled, Test Fee to Be Refunded to Students
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has cancelled the NExT 2024 exam and the test fee will soon be refunded to candidates. The NExT exam was postponed due to high fee set by NMC.
NExT Mock Test: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has cancelled the NExT 2024 exam and the test fee will soon be refunded to candidates. According to the official notification posted on the NMC website, the NExT 2024 exam has been postponed, and the new dates will be announced at a later time by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The General and OBC category candidates were required to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000, whereas SC, ST, and EWS category candidates had to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 to participate in the NExT mock test. PwBD candidates were not required to pay any application fee.

The commission received criticism from students and doctors regarding the mock test fee. The NExT exam was postponed due to the higher fee set by the NMC for the NExT mock test 2024.
The purpose of the NExT exam mock test was to provide students with an understanding of what to expect in the actual NExT exam.
NExT is intended to replace the NEET PG for admission to postgraduate programs and medical practice in India. Starting with the batch graduating in 2024, all undergraduate MBBS students will be required to take the NExT Mock Test.
