NIFT 2022 M.F.Tech Seat Allotment for Chennai & Gandhinagar Campuses Revised

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2022 has recently announced that it is withdrawing the Masters in Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech) seats at the Chennai and Gandhinagar campuses. Therefore candidates who got the NIFT 2022 M.F.Tech Seat Allotment at these two campuses will now be relocated as per their next preference and their merit ranks.

The office of the two NIFT campuses has stated that they have withdrawn the seats due to administrative reasons. Currently, the institute is conducting online counselling as a joint seat allocation process.
NIFT 2022 M.F.Tech Seat Allotment Process
Candidates who have received the seat allotment and accepted it must pay the acceptance fee online and book their seats for confirmation. The institute allots seats based on two factors:
- Candidate’s NIFT merit rank in the corresponding year’s exam.
- The choices and their order of preference were for both academic programs and campus preferences.
Seat Allotment for Other Programs
NIFT will conduct the seat allotment for other programs separately for PWD and non-PWD categories. The PWD category will only have one seat allotment round. Meanwhile, the non-PWD class will have 5 rounds. Currently, the NIFTs take in 5,023 students. This includes 4,188 All India seats, 377 state domicile seats, and 458 NRI seats.
