NIFT 2022 Window for Revising Preferences Open: Check Procedure Here
Candidates can change their college preferences for NIFT 2022 before round 3 starts. The process for making the changes is given below.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has now opened a window allowing aspirants to change their preferences for academic programs. The institute has done so before commencing the 3rd round of seat allotment for NIFT 2022. Candidates can change their preferences latest by 10 pm on June 26. The candidate has to make the entries in ascending order of importance.
NIFT will make a revised seat matrix with a list of open seats available. The institute has even issued a notification regarding the same update. The NIFT 2022 notification contains a thorough process for changing preferences; the process is detailed below.

How to Edit Preferences for NIFT 2022?
The process for editing one’s preferences is given ahead:
- First, log in to niftadmission using your registered user ID and password.
- Click on the “Course & Campus Preference” icon on the dashboard after logging in.
- Choose the course and campus combination from the drop-down list. Then click on the “Add” button to add your preferences for the course and campus.
- The Selected Preferences Box will show the order in which you selected your preferences.
- The candidate can “Drag and Drop” the selected preference to reorder the choices listed in the preferences box. Then confirm your preference for a course and campus by clicking on the “Save Button.”
- Please select as many options as possible to maximize the likelihood of receiving a campus. One can select an unlimited number of options for course & campus preference.
- You can add and reorder but not delete course preferences once added. Keep the least desired preferences at the bottom of the list.
- You can add more options and rearrange the order of your selections before pressing the “lock choices” button. Click the lock button to lock your selection once you know all your options and their relative priority.
- You cannot rearrange or change your choices after clicking the “lock choices” button during the choice filling process.
- Candidates can print their campus and course preferences for future reference after successfully locking their choice filling.
- The third round of seat allocation and subsequent rounds will depend on the candidates’ preferences and the CMR.
- It is your last chance to change your academic program preference and ranking. This choice will be the basis for all subsequent rounds of seat allocation. The candidates won’t have any more time to revise their answers.
What If Candidates Don’t Change their Preferences?
If the candidate doesn’t change their preferences in this window, NIFT will consider their original preferences to determine seat allocation. Participating in the process is not mandatory.
