The last date to apply without a registration fee is Jan 10. However, candidates can register by paying a late fee of INR 100 from Jan 11 to Jan 17. Furthermore, candidates can register by paying a consolidated late fee of INR 1500 from Jan 18 to Jan 25.

NIOS Public Exams 2023: How to Apply?
Here are the steps students should follow to register for the NIOS Public Exams 2023:
- Visit one of the following official websites: nios.ac.in, sdimis.nios.ac.in
- Locate the link for the admission on the homepage and click on it.
- Students may then proceed to register themselves.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Make the payment of the registration fee.
- Finally, submit the application form.
- Take a printout of the application form for further reference.
The application fee for the NIOS theory exam 2023 is INR 250 per paper, and for practical papers, it is INR 120.
Candidates must note that they can register for the exams and obtain the passing certificate if they have the required gap of two years from the passing year of the secondary examination (Class 10). If the candidate does not have the required gap, they will only be allowed to register for a maximum of 4 subjects.
