NMC to Conduct NEET UG 2023 Exam Via Agencies: Steep Fines for Colleges Violating NEET Counselling
The National Medical Commission (NMC) will be conducting the NEET UG 2023 through agencies. NMC will also impose steep fines for colleges violating NEET Counselling process.
NEET UG 2023 Exam: The National Medical Commission (NMC) is planning to conduct the NEET UG exam through an agency or authority in near future.
The Commission has also imposed a hefty fine of INR 1 Crore/ seat for colleges violating the NEET counselling process.
Meanwhile, the NEET UG 2023 exam registration has commenced and candidates must apply before Apr 6.
The NMC has stated in the 'Graduate Medical Education Regulation-2023' (GMER 2023) that the Commission may employ multiple agencies or authorities to conduct NEET UG if essential.
These are among the changes in the draft “Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023" (GMER 2023). NMC has said that it may designate “multiple agencies or authorities”, to conduct NEET-UG if required.
Currently, National Testing Agency is conducting NEET UG 2023 exam and candidates who wish to complete the NEET Registration 2023 may visit the official websites: neet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in.
Based on the NEET UG merit list, common counselling for MBBS admissions will continue for all medical institutions in India.
Medical colleges who are violating the NEET counselling rules and regulations will be fined INR 50 lakhs per seat the first and second times.
Finally, INR 1 crore per seat will be imposed and the Colleges will be barred from admitting if the violation continues.
