The Board of Secondary Education Odisha (BSE) has outlined several key details regarding the assessment within this circular. As per the announcement, online registration for the teaching eligibility test will begin on 12 November 2021. Application forms will be available to interested and eligible candidates until 20 November 2021. The notification further states that other guidelines like eligibility, exam pattern, syllabus and reservation criteria shall be made available on the official website, bseodisha.ac.in.
The BSE oversees the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET). This year, phase one of the OSSTET took place on 1 September 2021, and the board later declared results for the state-level eligibility exam on 16 October 2021. Students should continue to check the official website for further updates.
The OSSTET examination paper consists of two separate papers. Candidates who want to teach arts, science and languages should opt for paper 1. Meanwhile, teaching aspirants interested in teaching physical education should write paper 2. The exam will take place in an offline testing mode for a duration of 3 hours. Additionally, both versions of the assessment consist entirely of objective multiple-choice questions. The minimum qualifying marks are 60% for the unreserved category candidates and 50% for the reserved category candidates.
