Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences Bengaluru to Build Student Satellite
A 300-gms student satellite is being built by MSRUAS students in Bengaluru. This satellite is launching in August 2022.
MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences has decided to build a student satellite named “Ramaiah Sat” under the supervision of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and ITCA. “Ramaiah Sat” is a 1.6 kg class satellite with a 300 grams IoT (Internet Of Things) payload which would help monitor other satellites. The estimated cost of this project is INR 1 crore. A Memorandum of Understanding is signed between MSRUAS under Gokula Education Foundation and ITCA. The project is getting launched in August 2022.
Indian Technology Congress Association (ITCA) is a nodal agency aiming to build 75 students for satellite missions.

The Vice-Chancellor of MSRUAS, Professor Kuldeep K Raina, created an impact along with ITCA President L V Muralikrishna Reddy, which helped create an opportunity for MSRUAS to showcase its prowess in space technology.
ISRO has decided to launch the satellite with UHF and VHF links taking the satellite ground station as MSRUAS’s Peenya Campus because it quotes that the Satellite mission functional attributes are water quality monitoring and providing wireless communication network in remote areas and passive radar for weather monitoring and fisherman SOS.
