Major Amendments for RRB Group D 2022
To understand the major changes that RRB made this year in their guidelines, please read below.
RRB Group D Cancelled Criteria |
New Changes Made |
Conducting the exam in two stages. |
Only a single exam will be conducted now |
EWS category students certificates are applicable only if they were issued before April 12, 2019 |
EWS candidates can submit even those certificates they acquired after April 12, 2019 |
New calculation method for normalising marks among the two sessions |
The board will normalise the marks based on the percentile method |
RRB will call up 5% more candidates for verification as per their options, as compared to the vacancies. Calls will be based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PET. |
RRB will call up an equal number of candidates as compared to the notified vacancies, based on the same metrics. |
RRB will only call up additional candidates if there is a shortfall from the merit list and/or any other special requirements. |
If a shortfall occurs, RRB can use employ the candidates down the merit list if needed, as per the merit and option of the candidates. However, this will not provide any vested rights for such candidates to be considered. |
If two or more candidates score the same marks, then their ranks will be decided on the basis of age, or subsequently alphabetical order. The one aged older will get higher merit. If the age is same, then ranks will be decided by alphabetical order (A to Z). |
Same method of ranking the candidates. The only change is that the primary criteria is the percentile score instead of marks. |
