Students Continue to Demand for NEET PG 2023 Postponement: Decision Expected Tomorrow

NEET PG 2023: The demand for NEET PG 2023 Postponement from a section of exam aspirants is still continuing. However, another section of the aspirants is requesting that the exams not be postponed. Moreover, the issue with the TCS, which conducts the online examination, has also come to the forefront. Students have complained that no slots are available over the weekends until September.

As per the official announcement, the NEET PG 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted on Mar 5. However, per some unofficial reports, the slot booking to conduct the exam must be performed 8 months in advance. There has yet to be an official confirmation from TCS or the Ministry of Health.

Furthermore, the ongoing speculation is that the NBE or the Ministry of Health will come to a decision and announce whether the exam will be postponed or conducted as scheduled by tomorrow, Feb 3. 

The Supreme Court of India is no longer entertaining pleas for postponing various entrance exams after several such pleas were submitted during the pandemic and the post-pandemic era. In 2022, some similar appeals were made by candidates to postpone the NEET PG 2022 exam. However, the apex court dismissed the case even though all the logical arguments for the postponement were submitted.

The Ministry of Health has received requests from NEET PG candidates, and the Union Minister for Health met with the FAIMA association representatives earlier regarding postponing the NEET PG 2023 exam. However, the outcomes of the meeting have yet to be revealed. Therefore, it is expected that the Ministry and the Government will decide based on how government considers student demands.
