Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission: The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) committee has postponed the admission schedule for 2022-23. The Rank list is now expected to be released on 16 August 2022. Further, the online general counselling process will held from 25 August to 21 October 2022 as stated by higher education minister K Ponmudy on Monday.
Due to the uncertainty in the date of the NEET results 2022, the admission schedule for engineering admission is delayed. K Ponmudy informed.
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2022: Seat Matrix
2.11 Lakh candidates registered for counselling this year. However, 1.7 Lakh candidates paid the fees and uploaded them, the TNEA committee is verifying and will release the rank list. The online counselling will held from 25 August to 21 October 2022. 500 seats are reserved under the sports quota, 150 seats are for ex-servicemen and 5% for differently disabled candidates. TNEA as received more than 3,000 applications for sports quota seats, the officials added.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2022: New Guidelines
TNEA conducted awareness meeting for college principals to discuss the new guidelines for engineering colleges to follow, candidates will get a seven days bracket after seat allotment to pay the fees. This is to avoid vacant seats in top colleges. Last Year, 631 seats in Anna University’s four campuses in Chennai fell vacant after NEET results, To avoid this new guidelines have been introduced.
