UGC NET JRF Award Letter Validity Extended: Check Details Here
Chairman of UGC, Jagadesh Kumar, has announced that the UGC NET JRF Award Letter validity has been extended by one year.
The Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Jagadesh Kumar, has announced that the UGC NET validity stands extended for the JRF Award. According to the announcement, the validity of the fellowship is extended by one year. As per the official statement, the UGC NET JRF will be valid for four years from the date of issue of the award letter.
Authorities decided to extend the validity of the fellowship in light of the pandemic. The chairman said that this extension will benefit candidates who were not able to get admission on time due to covid.

Validity of UGC NET for Assistant Professor & JRF
Candidates must know about the differences in the validity of the UGC NET certificate for Assistant professor/ Lectureship and the UGC NET JRF award letter.
Previously, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the UGC NET e-certificates for qualified candidates. The validity of the UGC NET certificate for Assistant Professor / Lectureship is for a lifetime. Meanwhile, the validity of the UGC NET JRF Award Letter is for three years from the date of issue. However, as per the latest notification, the UGC NET JRF is now valid for four years.
