UGC Opens Applications for Fellowships, Research Grants Launched on Teachers’ Day

On Teachers’ Day, 5 September, authorities from the University Grants Commission invited applications for fellowships and research grants on their official website. Interested and eligible candidates must note that the last date for applying is 10 October. Furthermore, candidates can visit the official website at ugc.ac.in.
The ‘Dr Radhakrishna UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship’ will enable interested researchers to perform advanced research in the sciences, humanities and social studies, engineering and technology, and languages in several Indian Universities and Institutes. Furthermore, candidates will receive INR 50,000 per month as a fellowship grant and INR 50,000 per annum as a contingency fee.
On the other hand, the ‘Fellowship for Superannuated Faculty Members’ will provide research opportunities to retired teachers. Under this fellowship, interested and eligible candidates can apply for 100 slots where they receive INR 50,000 per month fellowship grant and INR 50,000 per annum contingency fee.
Furthermore, the ‘Research Grant for In-service Faculty Members’ will lend several opportunities to faculty members currently in service. A corpus of INR 10 lakh will be given to 200 eligible research scholars for two years’ tenure. Similarly, the ‘Dr DS Kothari Research Grant for Newly Appointed Faculty Members’ will provide research avenues to 132 selected candidates. The scholarship will last for two years, with a corpus of INR 10 lakh.
