The UGC invites and encourages all state universities, deemed to be universities, private universities, and Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to adopt and use CUET UG Score and CUET PG Score for admission in their UG/PG programmes, according to an official letter from the UGC.
"This will save students from appearing in multiple entrance examinations conducted on different dates, sometimes coinciding with one another, and will also provide equal opportunity to all students from different boards," the letter continues.
In 2022, CUET-based admission was initiated, and a variety of colleges now base their entrance decisions on CUET results. Nonetheless, other colleges held their own independent examinations.
