UP Class 10 and 12 Board Results to Be Published in July

On 3 June 2021, the UPMSP Board cancelled the Uttar Pradesh state board examinations for class 10 and 12. The state government announced this cancellation due to the resurgence of COVID-19 in India. In May 2021, officials had initially cancelled the class 10 exams, leading to the state automatically promoting almost 30 lakh class 10 UP students. Additionally, the UPMSP board had merely postponed the class 12 exams to the second week of July. 

However, a main catalyst regarding the UP class 12 exam cancellation was the CBSE exam repeal on 1 June. School boards followed suit in cancelling exams, such as the CISCE. Additionally, state boards have successively terminated exams since 1 June, such as Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttarakhand. Thus, a high-powered committee officially cancelled the class 12 board examinations. 

On 20 June 2021, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) released the UP board examination evaluation criteria. The UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma has asked the board to release the class 10 and 12 mark sheets in July. According to a Live Hindustan report, Deputy CM Sharma had sent a notice to publish scores within July 2021. Additionally, Sharma directed board officials to formulate an online portal for the transfer of scores. The portal should be available to UP school teachers and principals by 28 June 2021. Furthermore, Sharma has stated that newly appointed UP teachers will be assigned duties shortly. 

Addressing UP Class 10 and 12 Objections 

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board has formulated the results for class 10 and 12 based on previous academic performance. Thus, students not satisfied with the scores compiled in the UP board class 10 and 12 results will receive further opportunities. Hence, students who wish to receive alternate scores can write the next board examination without paying fees.
