UP CM Yogi Adityanath Announces Launch of UPESSC: Every Year UPTET to Be Held Through UPESSC
Uttar Pradesh Government Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) to be conducted every year through UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC).
UPTET: As per the guidelines issued by the UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday, the UP Teacher recruitment at all levels will be conducted every year through UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC).
The Uttar Pradesh Government Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) will be held every year by the to-be-launched Commission. The UP CM Yogi Adityanath has recommended a Chairman for the new commission holding an honourable post like that of vice-chancellor of universities, or having long experience in the Indian Administrative Service, IAS.
All the UPTET recruitment of teachers in non-government, aided madrasas, and minority educational institutions will be only done through UPESSC.

Furthermore, the recruitment of the following teachers categories will be held through UPESSC:
- Council Junior Basic School
- Non-Government-Aided Junior High Schools
- Affiliated Primary Schools
- Non-Government Aided Minority Junior High Schools and Affiliated Minority Primary Schools
- Government High School / Intermediate Colleges
- Non-Government Aided High Schools / Intermediate Colleges
- Government and Aided Sanskrit Schools
- Non-government-aided minority high schools/intermediate colleges
Eventually, the guidelines regarding the direct recruitment of teachers will be made by the UPESSC. The UPTET selection process will have a selection test, interview, etc.
