DAV University not only reaches out to multi-national and renowned companies for better recruitment of its students but also trains them and grooms them in various ways so that they have an advantage before the employers. The students are taught presentation skills, communication skills and non-verbal communication skills that make an impact on the recruiters.
Process of Selection
There were two rounds for selection purposes. In the first round, there was group discussion where nearly 120 students had participated. In the second round, 40 shortlisted students out of 120 had to appear for the personal interview with the Directors of OM Careers where they were questioned on human resource and technical knowledge. 18 out of final 40 candidates ended up with job offers. Vice Chancellor Dr. A.K. Paul congratulated all the students and told them to work hard and sincerely in the future. Other teachers also congratulated and gave the students best wishes.
18 B.Tech students bag job offers
Eighteen students from B. Tech have got jobs as technical recruiters in a campus drive recently. They have got jobs from Om Careers with a package of 5.4 lakhs. This is the third highest package to have been offered till now in the campus placements. Recruited students are placed to work in Ludhiana as the company is Ludhiana-based.
