Outsiders not allowed to enter the campus at Bangalore University

Bangalore University (BU) was established in the year 1964. Bangalore University is a public state university. It is located in Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka, India. The Institute was moved to the Jnana Bharathi campus in the year 1973. The campus is huge and it is spread over 1100 acres.

Overgrowing problems in the campus

Bangalore University's sprawling Jnana Bharathi campus has now taken measured to make it off-limits for outsiders into the campus. The 1,100-acre campus of Bangalore University has always been very popular among the outsiders for decades. It has been known for its thick woods as well as the sports facilities that the University offers to the students. The campus is also known for the shortcuts it offers to the motorists.
But the campus started facing a lot of trouble lately. The problem is that hundreds of sandalwood trees and teak trees have been smuggled from the campus. The main problems that are reported in the recent times are about eve-teasing in the campus. There are at least four cases of eve-teasing have been registered since January. And all of these cases are being blamed on the outsiders by the Bangalore University registrar KN Ninge Gowda.

Bangalore University needs a safe and pollution free campus

The Registrar of the Bangalore University (BU), KN Ninge Gowda said, "They consume alcohol, gamble and do other illegal activities inside the campus. Many of the varsity's female students and lady staff have complained about eve-teasing by outsiders. This created a problem academically so we were left with no option but to restrict public entry." The main objective of the University is to maintain a crime-free, pollution free campus for the students. According toJ nana Bharthi police since the time the University has taken measures to bar the entry of outsiders into the campus, the smuggling of sandalwood and teak trees and other illegal activities within the campus have dropped immensely.
