the University of Quebec Chicoutimi (UQAC) is a coeducational public university, it is a branch of the University of Quebec Network and is based in Chicoutimi borough of Saguenay, Quebec, Canada. The university offers over forty undergraduate and graduate programs. The university is well known for its researchers in forestry, icing, geology, and aluminum.
The University of Quebec at Chicoutimi was founded in 1969. In 2005, it opened programs for students from other countries in partnership with the universities of Morocco, Lebanon, China, Senegal, Colombia, and Brazil, and in 2006, the University of Sherbrooke opened a building for a medical school on UQAC's campus, allowing its student to register for other courses such as biology.
UQAC is a branch of the Université du Québec network and is based in the Chicoutimi borough of Saguenay, Quebec, Canada. UQAC has secondary study centres in La Malbaie, Saint-Félicien, Alma, and Sept-Îles.
