A public college in Canada Conestoga offers over 200 different programs which are career-oriented with an ever-evolving curriculum. They offer admissions to over 40,000 students and students who come from international countries as well. The courses offered are certificate programs, diplomas, and postgraduate courses. The deadlines for awards application for fall, winter, and spring terms are October, February, and June, respectively. The applications are mostly open till February and after that, they are accepted on a first come- first serve basis.

The application requirement at Conestoga college differs for international and domestic students. However, most of the generic requirements across different courses are transcripts delivered through schools, a valid passport, and an English language test score. There are other course-specific degree requirements that a student needs to meet by his own capability.

Undergraduate Admission at the Conestoga College

The Conestoga College offers different courses to undergraduate students in the fields of business, public relations, communications, and more. Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  1. A minimum of six grade 12 U or M level courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65% (for most of the degree courses) or equivalent.
  2. Official transcripts either sent electronically from Ontario high schools or hard copies sent through the mail from your school
  3. Secondary school diplomas are accepted 
  4. Statement of purpose or essay
  5. Portfolios
  6. Letters of recommendation may be required
  7. English language test score
  8. Scanned copies of passport
  9. Fiance declaration certificate

Post Graduate Admission at the Conestoga College

Conestoga College offers graduate certificates in multiple courses such as business management, application development, public relations, information technology, etc. Part-time courses are also offered for working individuals. It does not offer any graduate degree courses separately. Given below are the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  1. Students must have completed a two or three-year advanced diploma degree or an undergraduate degree in the required field
  2. A minimum of two years of work experience may also be required for applied courses
  3. Minimum English and math proficiency scores might be required for certain business and journalism courses.
  4. As a part of Conestoga’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, students may be required to bring their own electronic devices.
  5. A portfolio may be required 
  6. English language test scores not more than 24 months old
  7. A valid passport scanned copies of the first and last page

Conestoga College Application Process for International Students

Conestoga invites applications for its different courses every year from different sets of student groups. The selection is done on different parameters like academic records, extracurriculars, different scores, and your statement of purpose. International students should make sure to apply before the deadline as the visa process can take a long time. Below are some of the documents that a student would require to apply to college.

How to Apply?

  • You can apply on the Ontario application portal
  • Students are required to apply online and submit all the necessary documents within the given deadline
  • Undergraduate applications will charge a non-refundable fee of 95-100 CAD and graduate applications will charge the same amount
  • Once your application is complete and the fee is [aid along with all other documents, you need to wait for 4-5 weeks to get a response
  • If you’re selected for admission then you have to apply for your visa to travel

Conestoga college offers its courses mostly on a first-come-first-serve basis. Therefore it is best to apply as early as possible to avoid any last-minute delay. International students should consider applying before two months of the deadline so that they can apply for financial aid and scholarships as well. Admission Procedure of Conestoga College

Before you start your application, make sure your passport is valid and updated. Once you receive your admission offer you have to follow the following steps:

  • Accept your admission offer
  • Apply for scholarships or financial aid if you need any
  • Print the acceptance letter and apply for the visa
  • Get your medical tests done and attach the reports to the visa applications if needed
  • Get your financial declaration certificate to show your ability to fund your studies
  • Once your visa is approved after the interview, you are all set to travel
  • Do check with the college if you need any other documents before your travel
