The Faculty Affairs Unit of NOSM has a faculty strength of over 1700. It provides leadership, supervision, and representation for the faculty to ensure that the school always has the teaching resources to provide the highest quality of education to the students. It is responsible for recruitment, scheduling, and evaluation of the faculty and staff. 

The Faculty Affairs Unit comprises the three sciences that form the basis of the curriculum delivered at NOSM:

Faculty of Clinical Sciences

The Division of Clinical Sciences is responsible for teaching the clinical aspects of medicine to the students. Faculty of Medical Sciences

The Medical Sciences Division at the NOSM is the organizational unit for teaching and research in the basic medical sciences. They also supervise externally-funded research programs that are supported by the major funding agencies for research in Canada and elsewhere.
