Coast Mountain College was previously known as Northwest Community College (NWCC), is an accredited post-secondary institution that serves the rich and diverse communities and learners of BC’s beautiful northwest region. CMTN has expanded to 6 regional campuses serving 34 communities, 21 of which are First Nations communities. This College provides students with innovative programs that lead to sustainable careers for people in the north. The motive of CMTN is to be the college of choice for experiential, place-based learning allowing students to learn both in the classroom and in the spectacular outdoor spaces that are so unique to this part of Canada.

When was Coast Mountain College Established?

Coast Mountain College was established in 1975 by Justin Kohlmann. It was originally named as Northwest Community College and was later renamed as Coast Mountain College in 2018.

Admission Details

How can I get into Parkland College?

The admission requirements vary depending on the program. You can take Direct entry into Saskatchewan Polytechnic or Conestoga programs. Generally, you will be required to have all official secondary and post-secondary transcripts, Proof of English language, a valid passport, and other supporting documents. Find the English language test scores.

International applicants are required to have complete documents submitted by May 31 for programs starting in August/ September of each academic year. It is mandatory to have a study permit visa before July 31. You will receive an admission letter without a visa. You need to apply for your study visa before May 15 to ensure enough processing time. Tuition fee deposits should be submitted through Flywire by June 30.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

you must have the equivalent of IELTS minimum of 6.5 with no bands less than 5.5. You will need to provide evidence of having the English language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing necessary to be successful in the program to which you are applying.
