Portage College is a public board-governed community college. Portage College houses a museum at the Corporate Centre and contains nearly 2000 Indigenous artworks and artifacts. The College has been serving the region for 50 years and is proud to be the first preference for learners in northeast Alberta. When was Portage College Established?

Portage College was established in 1968. However, after several months the government decided to close the facility and cease the research but was reopened in 1973 by the Alberta Government.
