 Problem Statement:

Udaan - E-Cell at Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), has announced the 5th edition of the annual international Business Plan Competition (BPC) - Meraki 2016 which is scheduled to be held on 29^th and 30^th of January, 2015 at FIIB Campus, New Delhi.

It has been observed that most student business ideas fail due to lack of an appropriate supporting platform. Udaan, the Entrepreneurship Cell of FIIB tries to support the entrepreneurial eco-system by bridging that gap and providing the required support to budding entrepreneurs. The unique platform of Meraki assembles top angel investors and venture capitalists of the country, who evaluates the B-Plan pitch of the students. This in turn increases the chances of deserving ideas to get angel funding and/or Incubator sponsorship. 

From 2012 to 2015, the competition has received overwhelming responses and participation from more than 500 teams, representing top institutes like University of Surrey (UK), IIT Kharagpur, Department of Management Studies - IIT Delhi, IIM Bangalore, IIM Indore, IIFT, NITIE, BITS Pilani, IMT Ghaziabad, St. Stephen’s College, SRCC and many more. Further, last year we also received entries from a few South Asian countries. 

This year, the competition offers fellowships of ₹ 1, 50,000 as 1^st prize; ₹ 1, 00,000 as 2^nd prize and ₹50,000 as 3^rd prize.  It also promises to provide on-going mentorship and contact with leading venture capitalists and investors.
