Aklia Degree College Infrastructure: Library, Labs & Other Facilities

Infrastructure is the backbone of a Campus. It is the integration of material and human resources on which the development of an institution depends. Aklia Educational & Research Society are spread over 15 acres of land in idyllic surroundings creating perfect ambience for a peaceful campus. The Campus is making a continuous and comprehensive development in terms of its infrastructure. The construction work is in progress to cater to the needs of a well-equipped hi-tech modern building. In addition to this, large scale efforts are being made for the upkeep of the building and more & more facilities are being added on regular basis.

Dispensary, Canteen, Gymnasium, Transport, Wi-Fi, PCO are some of extra facilities which Aklia Educational & Research Society provides.

Computer Lab

Aklia Educational & Research Society has air-conditioned computer labs in each Campus are equipped with more than 100 latest version computer terminals, high end application servers, UPS for effective backup and 24 hours access to internet. There is variety of latest licensed software like Windows XP Professional, Office XP, C, C++, Java, Visual Basic etc. to work on actual business problems and for designing solutions.

Laboratories

Aklia Campus has well equipped laboratories for various courses. These labs are well equipped with standardized equipments. Live interaction facility with prominent scholars of national & international fame will also be provided in these labs through video-conferencing. A well furnished workshop is also in operation to give practical training to the students of engineering polytechnic college.

Library

Library is the heart, mind and soul of an educational institution and a fountain-head of innovativeness, inspiration and insight both for the students and the faculty. Learning and library are to each other as the light to the lamp.

Information Resource Centre (Library) is located in the spacious section of the College building with air conditioned reading room. It has been systematically and steadily strengthened. The IRC’s operation and services are fully computerized with “TechLib-” multi-user Integrated Library Automation Software, developed by SUI Generous Technology , New Delhi and a Bar Code based circulation system is in use. The IRC is equipped with more than 7,921 books from different streams. Besides these text and reference books IRC is also subscribing a large number of national and international journals, magazines and dailies. Bibliographic records of IRC’s holdings can be, accessed through the TechLib On Line Public Access Catalogue(OPAC).The IRC is also maintains a good collection of important educational CDs on Engineering & Technology.
