The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts a centralized online counseling process for admissions in Karnataka, which includes the following types of seats:
- Government seats in Government colleges
- Government seats in private colleges
- Private/Management seats
- NRI seats in private colleges
In Karnataka, KEA is responsible for allocating:
- 85% of the seats in government and government-aided institutions, excluding the 15% All India Quota managed by AACCC.
- Seats available in private institutions through the State Quota, All India Quota, and Management/NRI Quota.
- These seat allocations are for AYUSH undergraduate programs in Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy.
Admission Criteria:
- The candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will reach this age by 31st December of the year in which they are seeking admission.
- For admission to the B.A.M.S course, the candidate must have completed the P.U.C. / 10+2 or an equivalent examination with PCB subjects, securing a minimum of 50% marks overall, including English as one of the languages. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required marks are 40%.
- To be eligible for M.D / M.S. courses, candidates must have a B.A.M.S. degree from a university or college recognized by CCIM.
- Candidates applying for Ph.D. courses must have an M.D. (Ayu) degree from a university recognized by CCIM.
Eligibility for other than Karnataka students:
Candidates are required to approach the Registrar of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Karnataka), Bengaluru-41, with the marks card of the qualifying examination, a date of birth certificate as per school records, and a demand draft (D.D.) of Rs. 1000/- to obtain the eligibility certificate.
AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Undergraduation Courses Eligibility Criteria
- SelectThe candidate must have passed the PUC (12th Standard) in Science with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by the concerned State Governments and Education Boards.
- An interview is conducted to assess the candidate's aptitude for the degree course, and selection is based on both interview performance and the candidate's PUC ranking.
- The candidate must have attained the minimum age of 17 years by 31st December of the year in which admission is being sought.
- Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the respective State Governments and State Education Boards is also acceptable for eligibility.

AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya PostGraduation Courses Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must have completed a B.A.M.S. degree from a university accredited by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, India.
- Admission will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) course and the marks secured in the relevant subjects.
- An interview will be conducted to assess the candidate's eligibility for the postgraduate program, and selection will depend on the interview performance.
