Entrance Exams & Admissions :
I am currently pursuing MBA at BNMIT. I secured a seat at the college through PGCET and the cut off ranking for the course is approximately 2000. The college also accepts the Scores of other state-level and national-level MBA entrance examinations like KMAT, CAT etc., to name a few. Those students who do not have a cutoff score or those who haven't appeared for the entrance test can get the admission through management quota. Students who choose to take up a management seat should have a minimum aggregate score of 70% in their undergraduation and the cost of the management seat is around Rs 4 lakh.
Placements & Internships :
At the college, we have a placement cell to assist and guide the students with respect to their placements and internships. The department has initiated several placement training programs to enable the students to crack the interviews with ease. During the beginning of 3rd-semester, students undergo a vigorous training program for a week where there will be trained by professionals at the campus to crack aptitude round, group discussions, personal interview rounds and provide awareness about interview etiquettes.
The management works in collaboration with Yuvatva team to help students identify internship opportunities in Bangalore. Team Yuvatva was successful in identifying internship opportunities in several startups for the majority of students with an average stipend of Rs 6000 per month.
Clubs & Associations :
Entrepreneurship Development (ED) cell and Nature club are two prominent clubs are present in BNMIT campus. The objective of the ED cell is to provide a platform for students to demonstrate their innovative business plans and entrepreneurial skills and it is an incubation centre to nurture. ED cell organises entrepreneurial events to provide an opportunity for students of other colleges to present their ideas too. In the year 2019, ED cell organised Prodothon 1.0, where students from colleges across Bangalore were invited to present their business models before eminent investors and the best plans were identified and rewarded.
Students who are nature enthusiasts can get into the nature club. Nature club at the college organises trecking events, environmental awareness programmes. etc.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Hostels for girls are within the college campus and they are absolutely safe. However, the hostel fee is quite high. Students have many PGs available around the college at a reasonable cost. The college canteen was recently renovated and it serves good south Indian food at reasonable prices. The college is close to BDA complex and so the students have easy access to restaurants and food courts that serve delicious food.
Academics & Faculty :
Students who are planning to take up MBA at BNMIT should be well prepared for long hours of lectures. Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end by 4:00 pm. The quality of teaching at BNMIT is good and each faculty member has a different technique of teaching. Students will have a jam-packed schedule throughout the semester with internals, assignment tests, assignments, exams, presentations, and other events organised exclusively by the management for the betterment of students.
The management of BNMIT is strict and has stringent rules, regulations and code of conduct. It expects every student to abide by them while on campus. Students are expected to be in dress code and be punctual.
