Library and Information Center:

Balaji College of Pharmacy has an excellent Central library, perhaps one of the best in the region. The state of the art Balaji College of Pharmacy library is a domain for information seekers, be it students, faculty or researchers. The Library has the right kind of infrastructure and facilities that provide comfortable seating and reading environment. Facilities such as separate audio-visual room, computer lab with adequate Internet facility, photocopying, colour scanners and laser printers have also been provided. At present the Library & Information centre is equipped with over 5000 volumes covering all the subjects like Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical analysis, National and International journals, Magazines, news papers and general books etc.

Library is catering to the needs of the Faculty and students etc. The library resources include a good collection of prescribed text books, reference books (Pharmacopeias, encyclopedias etc.)M. Pham thesis, CD’s, Journals back volumes and national & international journals. 

Laboratories:

The Institute infrastructure is excellent with the state of the art laboratories, Central Instrumentation Room, Well Stocked Library, Medicinal Plant Garden, Drug Museum, Computer cum Language Laboratory, CPCSEA approved Animal House, to name a few.

Central instrument Lab

Central instrument Lab has HPLC, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, digital potentiometer, digital electronic balance, auto KarlFischerTitrator, digital pH meter, dissolution test apparatus VDA 6D USP standards, flame photometer, photoelectric colorimeter, digital nephelo-turbitdity meter and viscometer. 

Herbal Garden:

Medicinal Plants have a great role in human life. India has rich diversity of medicinal plants. Till now 90% of herbs used in manufacturing Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy medicines in the country are supplied from the wild. 

At medicinal garden student got themselves acquainted with plants of medicinal value like Neem, Kachnar, Tejpatta, Amla, Mango, Curry patta, Putranjeeva, Ashoka, Arjuna, Jamun, Bahera, Harar, Rati, Kanghi, Vacha, Apamarg, Vasaka, Ghritkumari, Satavari, Kalmegh, Brahmi, Aak, Sadabahar, Aparajita, Haldi, Lemon grass, Krishna Datura, Mehendi, Mint varieties, Lajwanti, Kaunch, Kaner, Kali tulsi, Ram tulsi, Kapurtulsi, Tulsi, Kapurtulsi, Sarpagandha, Babchi, Ashwagandha, Bach, Vasaka, Anantmula, Kapur, Kaner, Akarkara and many more. In botanical garden, our students saw Ephedra, Lotus and different varieties of cactus. 

They also had a glimpse of nursery-cum-research block comprising of a green shade net-house and a poly-house. Here, the students also learnt the techniques pertaining to works like raising and maintenance of nursery, rising of plantations, raising of shrubs and also got awareness about floral heritage of India. 

Animal House:

A multi compartment animal house is well furnished and designed to provide appropriate capabilities from breeding to housing for experimentation. The animal house is approved by CPCSEA, New Delhi. The animals such as mice, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs etc are available for routine practicals and pharmacological research. There is also a tank where the frogs are housed. The animals were provided with standard pellet diet and drinking water ad Libitum. 

Sports facilities

Sports are an indispensable part of education system all over the world at each level of studies. Whereas education kindles the light of knowledge in the mind, the sports help to maintain the physique. Besides conducting day to day education, competition, musical programs, Balaji College of pharmacy also organizes inter and intra sports competition. Our college has excellent students who are active in sports. The students enjoy their leisure time more while playing sports. The students take part in different games such as Cricket, Football, Basketball, and Volleyball. They also participated in different sports organized by other colleges, Universities and won prizes. Teachers are encouraging students to take keen interest in sports and should not insist on their being lost in their books. 

Hostel facilities

Separate hostels are available for boys and girls with fully furnished facilities. Hostels have independent mess with the requisite facilities. Wholesome hygienic food is provided with rich aroma and taste. 24 x 7 electricity (generators), mineral water, medical and conveyance facilities are ensured.

Girls Common Room

Spacious Girls Common room is provided within thecollege, where students can do their assignment. It is not only for doing work, but it is a place for relaxation & refreshment as well.

Boys Common Room

College hasspacious Boys Common room is used by the boys to relax & refresh. 

Canteen

Balaji College of Pharmacy is having a tidy and hygienic canteen which is important for student’s health and also demonstrates to students and staff that their management cares about them. The canteen is having a cafeteria, with spacious sitting place and decorated walls, is a right place for refreshments and to relax the budding intellectuals. The students, teaching and other staff enjoy tea or coffee along with fresh and hygiene snacks. The menu for each day contains varieties of delicious food. The canteen staffs are well trained in preparing food hygienically and also in hospitality. Canteen at Pharmacy College provides sufficient clean drinking water for all students and staff and also provides sufficient dustbins and wash basin.

Transport Facilities

Our well connected transport network serves the day scholars from all the main places of Anantapur.

Medical facilities

• A dispensary with 24 x7 resident medical officer is available in the campus
• All the drugs for emergency treatment and seasonal treatment are present in the dispensary
