Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad (BSP), established on September 24, 1984, under the guidance of educationists and social workers, promotes distance education. Registered by the Uttar Pradesh government, BSP is a legal, autonomous, non-profit institution with the constitutional right to offer teaching and training. It operates across India with examination centres in major cities, holding exams in May and December. BSP also plans to establish centres for NRIs and international students.

Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad Scholarships

Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh provides the following scholarships for three months:

• Rs. 5500/- P.A. (2%) for merit-based students.
• Rs. 3000/- P.A. (2%) for handicapped candidates (40% or more) or accused/prisoners.
• Rs. 75/- p.m. (2%) for outstanding athletes recognized by the Indian University Union or National Sports Organizations.
• Rs. 2000/- P.A. (3%) for economically disadvantaged students (family income ≤ Rs. 24,000).
• Rs. 2000/- P.A. (2%) for the children/spouses of staff members.

Students with a family income below Rs. 24,000 p.a. can also apply for a 10% fee discount with income proof. Only one family member per household is eligible.

Scholarship applications must be submitted annually before the start of the session, during the periods of January-March or August-October. For further details, contact the department or refer to government scholarship schemes.
