There are other hostels and PG facilities around the college within a limit of 250 meters to 5 km. The PG options cost same as that of the college hostel and provide enough security and facilities.
The college has a very good canteen which serves delicious food from 8.30 am to 6 pm every day. The college canteen food costs are justifiable rates.
Classrooms are provided with enough facilities such as projectors, plug points, etc.There are labs for different subjects such as Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Electrical lab, DSP lab, MATLAB, Computer labs, Measurements lab, Electronics lab, Circuits lab, Advanced Electrical lab, Machines lab, Power Electronics lab, Communication lab, etc.
Other than hardware labs all other labs have internet facilities and wifi available.
Placements & Internships :
I have done internships in various industries as a non-paid trainee.
I have gained more practical knowledge than what books could give me.
My teachers and college authorities were very much interested in helping me and clearing the formalities from college for doing internships.
We do have recruitments every year. Around 50-70% students get placed every year.
Some of the companies which hire students from our college are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, Mu Sigma, 6d Technologies, etc.
So far we have got offers for Rs.4 lakh per annum.
We have a strong and well setup alumni. Even now, they contribute to the welfare of the college financially and by assisting the students in doing their projects and preparing them for recruitments.
Fees & Scholarships :
Our course fee is Rs.35,000 for government seats and Rs.65,000 for management seats.
Students can apply for all the state and central government scholarships.
They can also apply for other scholarships offered by private organizations.
An average of 75% students is receiving scholarships from different sources based on the family income, community, and academic excellence.
The college does not demand much amount from the students. For a student coming from a middle-class family can study without loans.
The matter of availing loans and the banks depend on each student. It cannot be generalized.
Academics & Faculty :
The class begins at 9.30 am and ends at 4.30 pm.
The faculty supports all types of projects other than academic projects. There are associations which provide financial, technical, and hardware support to students who have innovative ideas.
There is a panel of sincere and dedicated faculty.
They are very keen on completing the portions, doing assessments regularly and motivating the students.
The biggest achievement of students in the college is the knowledge they get from the teachers. I have so far had a very great experience in the college. I have learned how to be a good engineer. Above all, I learned to be a good human being.
Clubs & Associations :
Every branch has a student association such as Electronic Students Association, Electrical Engineers Association, and Technocrats.
Besides these, there are other associations and clubs such as IEDC, ISTE, IEEE, NSS, CGPU, Women Cell, Mathematics club, etc. All these clubs and organizations are equally active in the college.
We have an Arts day, a sports day, Onam celebration, Christmas celebration,Holi, Technical fest and much more.
When I am considering, life in the college is enjoyable and informative. We enjoy every day very well.
