The CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR–CECRI), originally known as the Indian Research Fund Association Electrochemical Laboratory (IRF receipt No. 470), is situated at Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, and was set up in the year 1948. It is a government-run organization, which is recognized by Anna University and recognized by AICTE, and also NABL accredited.
