Placements & Internships :
I have not yet completed any courses at my college nor am I any close to doing that so I have no idea about these things but the status and position that my college gives to the alumni are very highly appreciated.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
I was admitted to my college in the year 2020. The eligibility criteria for my college was a cut-off of 80% result in my HSC. I took BA as my course because of the wider appeal that it had when looked at from a bird's eye's view. I didn't take any entrance exams to enter the course that my college required for me to attend.
Fees & Scholarships :
My course fee is Rs. 3,000 per year at Hislop College, [HC] Nagpur, which is quite affordable and attainable given the recent outburst of monetizing education and leaving students with a staggering amount of money which builds tension and stress in the young minds who only need proper education and build a future through its benefits.
There are multiple scholarship options available to the students, whether they are under specific criteria or not. In my class alone there are a few people who have taken their admission through the scholarship method. Loans are hardly needed for admission purposes as the general fee structure is highly suitable for the students.
Academics & Faculty :
The daily routine is not stacked as one would imagine in a college but way more lenient and flexible which gives room for students to explore more nuanced and beneficial things that they may require. The projects and exams are also very forgiving while also needing due attention from the students. The quality of teaching, as well as the methods, are very top-notch as expected of a college like this one. My overall experience, while halted for the most part by other circumstances, has been great so far, being able to participate and enjoy most of what the college provides to students.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Due to the current circumstances, I have not experienced the hostel life nor the infrastructure related to it, and the same goes for the canteen that it provides.
Clubs & Associations :
There are so many societies and clubs available to the students which are also solely managed by the college ranging from music, dance and book clubs to other niches like movies and other clubs. There were no festivals that happened on campus but they happened through the internet. They were very excited to join and participate in them, improving me and also the wide student body of the college. College life in general, while lacking the human touch, feels amazing and I hope to experience it in the near future.
