Clubs & Associations : IIM Ranchi held its first management festival- AGON, and it first Sports and Cultural Festival(RUSH). You can also go to the website http://www.agon-iimranchi.com/ to check out the competitions. There are also Futsal(Football League) as well as RPL(Ranchi Premier League- Cricket) and Badminton League.  Radix- Business Conclave was held this year where students got to interact with various industry stalwarts like Mr. Amit Choudhary, Senior Vice President- Corporate Finance, Snapdeal, Mr. Meesum Kazmi, Director, Analytics Advisory, PwC, etc. There are various clubs like Finance, Consulting, Marketing, Operations, Samarpan(CSR Club). IIM Ranchi also has association with Toastmasters International Club whose purpose is to improve communication and public speaking skills of its members.

Academics & Faculty : The quality of professors we have in IIM Ranchi is quite great. There are many visiting faculties coming from colleges like IIM Calcutta, MDI Gurgaon, NITIE Mumbai,etc. Various eminent professors like Prof. Jean Dreze, a Belgium-born Indian economist come to address the students of IIM Ranchi. This type of exposure gives an immense opportunity to the students to interact with stalwarts in various fields and learn something from them. That is one of the perks which we enjoy being a student of an IIM.

Placements & Internships : The average package for the batch 2014-2016 is around INR 15 lakhs which is a huge improvement from the previous year and the highest package offered is INR 55 lakhs. The whole batch is placed. Various roles such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Banking, IT, etc are offered. Some of the key companies are Google, RPG, YES BANK, ICICI Bank, Deloitte, HT Media, Tolaram , Wipro, Cognizant,  BPCL, GAIL, L&T, etc which have offered top-notch profiles to the students. We have great Alumni network. Some of our alumni have even started their own startups.  

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The housing facility at IIM Ranchi is at par with the best in the world. It consists of separate blocks for girls and boys. IIM Ranchi is one of the few institutes with fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. The housing facility consists of a mix of three bedroom and four bedroom shared flats that are fully furnished, serviced and are installed with five star facilities. It is mandatory for students to avail the hostel facility. There is a common area on the first floor (the area where we eat/discuss/gather for informal events/hold group meetings), there is a TV in each block (invariably playing sports/songs), a TT room, a room with a carom-board/chess too, a music room, a gym with all basic equipment. Internet through Wi-Fi is also available in college. IIM Ranchi has become part of the National Knowledge Network (NKN) – a state-of-the-art pan-India network implemented by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The NKN provides 1 Gbps connectivity out of which 100 Mbps is allocated for Internet bandwidth and the rest for Intranet bandwidth to provide interuniversity and NKN pool connectivity.
