The evaluation pattern of IITTM Gwalior includes the internal assessment and end semester examinations. The internal assessment is for 40 marks, which includes a mark distribution of 20 marks for internal exams, 10 marks for assignments, and 10 marks for attendance and performance in class. The end semester examination is of 60 marks, in which there will be 10 long-type questions of 12 marks each, drawn equally from five units. Each unit shall have two questions, and students are required to attempt one question from each unit, a maximum of five questions. The total of the internal and end semester exam marks are taken together and converted to GPA to allocate letter grades. Students who score above 90 are assigned a grade of A, while students who fail to secure the minimum pass mark of 40 are given a grade of F. The failed candidates will be provisionally promoted to the next semester if they have passed atleast 50% of the total papers in the semester. Those candidates must take the ATKT exam towards the end of the subsequent semester. In contrast, candidates who failed in more than 50% of the papers in the semester are required to re-appear the semester.
Students should verify the details mentioned in the scorecard on accessing the IITTM online results, such as their roll number, name, mark details, etc. It is utilised to prepare the final result. In case of any errors or discrepancies in the provisional or final result, candidates must inform the concerned department or report through the online grievance portal of IITTM.
