Industrial Design Center (IDC) offers financial assistance to eligible applicants. Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions set by the college to avail the scholarships facility. More details regarding the IDC IIT Bombay scholarship are given below.
Teaching Assistantships/Research Assistantship For M.Des Program
Each year, IDC offers teaching assistantships to up to 22 students. The teaching assistantships are awarded based on performance during the admissions process.
- For two years, you will be paid Rs 12,400 per month as a teaching assistant.
- Research assistantship Rs 13,400 per month (for the first year) with an annual increment of Rs 1,000 per year for a total of three years per annum.
Teaching Assistantships /Research Assistantship For PhD Program
- For graduate and postgraduate entry students, Rs 25,000 for the first two years. After completing two years of fellowship and receiving a satisfactory report on the successful presentation of the progress seminar, the fellowship will be increased to Rs 28,000 per month for the remaining years (i.e. 3rd,4th,& 5th year).
- For graduate and postgraduate entry students, Rs 28,000 for the first two years. After completing two years of fellowship and receiving a satisfactory report on the successful presentation of the progress seminar, the fellowship will be increased to Rs 31,500 per month for the remaining year.
QIP Scholarship for M Des/Phd Program
- A quality improvement program (QIP) scholarship is available for faculty members from other Institutes who want to join the two-year Master of Design program in IDC IIT Bombay.
- For M.Des students, the monthly fee is Rs 2,500/ for 24 months. Rs 3,000 per annum as a contingency PhD students pay Rs 6,000 for the first two years and Rs. 6,400 for the third year. Rs 10,000 per annum as a contingency.
