IAI placements provide some of the best placement opportunities for students. Institute of Actuaries of India has a placement cell to provide guidance and support to its students for their first job by facilitating job opportunities/ placement drives with various actuarial employers. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), the insurance regulator of India, is one of the IAI top recruiters. The Institute of Actuaries of India placements data like IAI highest package, average package, IAI salary trend, etc., are yet to be released.

Actuaries are employed across insurance and re-insurance companies, financial institutions, investment and wealth management companies, credit rating agencies, and academic institutions. The institute has an Acturial Envoy, a volunteering program, where the ENVOY is a volunteer for the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) to promote actuarial science, courses, certification, trainings, placements, etc.

IAI has a dedicated placement cell functioning within the institute to prepare and provide the best placement opportunities for students. Along with organising IAI placements, the cell also helps students to understand their skill and training requirements based on opportunities. The IAI placement cell also organises training programs in soft skills, communication, python, SQL, SAS, SPSS, R, Prophet, or any other actuarial software.

The IAI Mumbai placements cell also provides career counselling for all its registered students/ members. Students can register with the Institute of Actuaries of India Mumbai placements cell and avail all services offered.
