The IAI scholarships are offered to students through financial aid, merit and prizes. The eligibility criteria are based on several reasons ranging from socioeconomic status to exemplary academic records. IAI Mumbai ensures to validate and award everyone's effort in academics or sports. More detailed information about the Institute of Actuaries of India scholarships are given below.
Financial Aid: IAI Mumbai offers financial assistance to students who are at a socioeconomic disadvantage financially. The “Student Support Scheme” allows students to study and continue their education in the institute. Students eligible for the scheme get funds for their IAI study materials, admission fees, examination fee (up to two attempts) and coaching/counselling fees, if there are any. OASIS Prize: OASIS, or the Olympiad of Actuarial Science for Indian Students, is organised by IAI Mumbai to create awareness and promote subjects of analytical skills, mathematics, banking, finance, insurance, risk management, and calculus to the young generation. In order to motivate students to do better, a prize is given to students who score well in the OASIS examination. The first rank holder is awarded INR 1,00,000, the second rank is awarded INR 75,000, and the third rank is awarded an amount of INR 51,000 as an IAI scholarship 2023.
Academic Excellence Award: IAI scholarships worth INR 5000 and a gold medal worth INR 25,000 is awarded to students for scoring the highest marks during Associateship and Fellowship. Students who complete the Associateship within three years and Fellowship within 4.5 years are awarded this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded only to one student. If there is a tie between two students, the college authorities immediately decide on the spot to decide which student will be awarded the Institute of Actuaries of India scholarship.
ACET Score Funds: ACET or Actuarial Common Entrance Test is an exam students must pass to get admission to the Institute of Actuaries of India Mumbai. Students who score the highest in the ACET December examination are awarded the Parikh Parivar Prize Fund worth INR 10,000. Students scoring the top marks in the ACET June examination are eligible for the (Late) AS Gupta Prize Fund. The IAI scholarship amount for this prize is also INR 10,000.
