Kalpi Institute of Technology (KIT Ambala) Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Gym, Auditorium & Other Facilities

Infrastructure :-

At KIT, the infrastructure development will be the continuous process. The building is equipped with all the modern infrastructural facilities including air-conditioned classrooms, seminar hall, Modern new administrative block, separate hostels for boys and girls, auditorium etc. are in progress. Students mostly stay in the hostel which has all the facilities, including outdoor games, television rooms, reading rooms. We believe not only on the completion of the syllabi, but also on grooming of students for the next step upward in life. Further we ensure a smooth transition from student life to that of a competent engineer & a responsible citizen. The infrastructural support to this end is provided to ensure conducive environment for acquisition of knowledge and overall development of the personality. Electricity and Water Supply are available 24 hours a day. In case of power failure generators sets are available for constant electric supply. Aqua guard is available for pure water. Institute has employed the session of a private security agency to provide 24 hour security in the campus including hostels. Security arrangements are supervised by a senior ranked officer. The campus comprises of a full-fledged Cafeteria and a fully equipped recreation center especially designed for students to have their lunch comfortably in between their hectic schedule of regular classes. It serves a variety of foods, which is wholesome and healthy, cleanliness, hygiene and qualities are of prime importance.

Well equipped Class Rooms :-

Well air-conditioned spacious classrooms and lecture halls gives the future engineers and technocrats and mangers a focused arena to develop their personalities. The latest audio-visual aids and multimedia technology enables the faculty members to have interactive sessions of teaching, which adds to confidence and enthusiasm among our students. The lecture halls are specifically segregated for tutorials and lectures. Latest technical devices such as multimedia projector, advanced PA systems, boards and OHP etc. are add-ons to the fully equipped and furnished lecture halls.

Work Shop :-

The workshops are integral part of technical education, because it is where students actually apply the theoretical knowledge gained in classes. workshops are adequately equipped with lastest labortory equipments in additinal they are large and spacious, giving student sample room for project work. the each group has dedicated staff members who ensure that each student gains exposure on the lab floor. workshops are also amn important element of modern day education because they give students an opportunity to create something with their own hands and understand exactly what it takes to make something work. the workshops have an excellent collection of tools and implements that can facilitate even intensive project work. in addition, the group is procuring new tools and other equipments as and when necessary to update KIT workshops.

Drawing Hall :-

A wll equipped drawing hall at KIT is ready to provide best support for drawing . here you can find all your requirements fulfilled. the drawing hall is furnished with standard drawing tables arranged in a displined manner. besides these, there are different models of three dimensional shapes as cubes, cones in cut section, sphere & their cut section, cylinder and their sections, tetra headrons, octa headraons, circles, double cresses, single crosses, set of models on interpretation of solid, cylinder etc. & the charts & diagram pertaining first angle & third angle projection section of solids development of surfaces orthographic projections & intersections.

Library :-

A well equipped library is the heart of any institition and KIT library has a very active learning ambience. With the operation of Total library software Solution (TLSS) installed in fully air-conditioned library,the student and the faculty members can access the readind material through online public access cataloge. It is a fully automated library so that one can easily locate the available books for studies without delay.Library own DELNET(Developing Library Network) membership.With the help of DELNET students and faculty members can acess more than 10 million records of books,periodically,thesis,articles,dissertaion, video/sound science,IT,Mechanical Engineering,Civil Engineering and related subjects like science,mathmatics,Managment & Humanities.The library has approximatelly 15000 volumes besides journals, and e-journals,give opportunities to search world wide ,library provides information service such as current awareness service selective information service refrence service ,biblography service etc.Library is being constantly enrichied by the acquisition of latest books & journals.
