Scholarships :-
National Loan Scholarship
Students in the Plus two classes who secured 50% or more marks for Secondary School Leaving Certificate can apply for this scholarship. Application forms and other details can be had from the office of the Director of Collegiate Education, Thiruvananthapuram. The amount of scholarship for the Plus Two course is Rs. 600/- and Rs.720/-per year for two years. This Scholarship can be continued for Degree course provided the students have obtained at least 45% marks for the +2 examination. This scholarship can be held together with any other scholarship and is refundable when the scholar gets employed.
National Merit Scholarship
This is awarded to first year Plus two students on the basis of marks obtained for S.S. L. C. examination. The amount of Scholarship is Rs.50 per month for 12 months in a year, continued for two years. This scholarship can be continued for B.A/ B.Sc./B.Com Courses provided the scholar obtained 50% marks for the +2 examination. University Merit Scholarship
Students who have 60% or more marks for the qualifying examination are offered scholarship for the duration of the course. The amount is Rs. 600/-per year for 2 years for the +2 course and Rs. 900/- per year for B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. Courses. This cannot be held with any other scholarship. State Scholarship
This is a merit cum means scholarship. Students with more than 50% marks for the qualifying examination can apply for this. The amount is Rs.400/-per year for the two years for the Pre-Degree and Rs.500/ per year for three years for the B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. Course. This scholarship can be held together with any other scholarship which shall not exceed half of the amount. The students have to maintain 50% marks every year. This is a merit cum means scholarship. Students with more than 50% marks for the qualifying examination can apply for this. Scholarship for Proficiency in Sports
This Scholarship is awarded to the students according to their proficiency in sports and games.
Scholarship for Proficiency in Arts
This Scholarship can be enjoyed by the students according to their proficiency in arts.
Labour Welfare Fund Scholarship
The children of labourers who are contributors to Labour Welfare Fund are eligible for the award of this scholarship.
Fee Concession
Unified Fee Concession
This is given on the basis of merit and means. A minimum of 45% marks is required to apply for this concession. Application forms can be had from the college office. Renewal applications are to be sent at the beginning of the course every year.
Fee Concession to Forward Community Students
Students are eligible for the fee concession under Kumara Pilla Commission Report in case the annual income of their parents does not exceed Rs 25,000/- for Degree course and Rs. 42,000/- for P.G. course.
Lumpsum Grant & Monthly Stipend
Lumpsum grant and Monthly Stipend will be issued to the backward class students (SC, ST, OEC, XC) through College Office. All Students belonging to this category must submit their application at the beginning of the course.
Medals and Prizes
The college has instituted several medals and prizes to honour the winners at intercollegiate, interclub and other recognized competitions in Arts, Sports, and Cultural and Literary fields.
