Placements & Internships :
The Internships are only for the second year students and the LSD institute seems to have tie-ups with well-established companies.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
The eligibility criteria for LSD involved a personal interview, presenting an art portfolio if possible and an aptitude test that can either be given in the institute itself or online.
Fees & Scholarships :
The course fee for a course in LSD is a little over 2 lakhs for outstation students.
Scholarships are available in/after the third year and the students with the best scores get to study the semester abroad in LISAA France.
Generally, only one student is selected for the Scholarship.
Academics & Faculty :
The daily routine in LSD is very flexible and the classes are scheduled between 9-5:30. Each class has 3 hours and the French classes and Art history classes have been allotted 2 hours each.
The assignments are interesting and informative and the method of teaching is lenient but very helpful.
The faculty is wonderful. Management isn't very efficient, though.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
The institute doesn't have any hostel facilities but there are numerous PGs in the area which is in a safe neighborhood. The PGs are generally 12-18,000 per room and this fee gets split according to the number of people sharing the room.
The institute doesn't have a cafeteria but it has a tuck shop that offers chips, biscuits, cool drinks etc.
The classrooms are spacious and the labs are mostly well equipped.
Clubs & Associations :
The Institute celebrates Ethnic Day and other international days such as women's day, awareness days etc.
It hosts numerous awareness campaigns as well.
Life in college is pretty comfortable and not very stressful.
