The Campus

The campus of the college is one among the most beautiful campuses of the capital city. With large, ambiently built buildings and lots of greenery, this campus offers a special place for the students and for everyone who visits the college. It is a vast campus with open grounds and flowering trees. The campus has a well-maintained library, open air auditorium and a canteen.

Computer Lab

The old computer lab was strengthened by replacing old systems by computers of higher specifications. All the systems are networked and internet enabled. In addition to internet search DTP fascilities are also available. The lab has two full time computer assistants for helping the students with the usage of computers. The lab has plans to operate computer courses for the students and staff.

Cooperative store

Stationary materials and some consumer items are supplied by the college cooperative society. All the staff and students are members of the society. The profit is shared with the members and so materials are sold at rates lower than the market rates. The society also provides banking facility to the staff. Deposits are accepted from members and interest higher than the current bank rates are given to the depositors. This money is provided as loan to needy members of the staff. The society has a scheme of easy loan whereby needy staff members are given quick loan without the normal security measures that are demanded by the banks.

Internet Facilities

The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. All Departments are connected by LAN and linked to the central server. The institution has purchased 2MBPS dedicated bandwidth for its use. This ensures the uninterrupted access to internet for everyone.

Canteen

Canteen fasciitis are available to students and staff. The canteen provide food to students at subsidized rates. The parent teacher association provide free midday meals to needy students. This is also operated through the canteen.

Language lab

A well-equipped language lab supports study of languages. The students are also trained in phonetics, diction and also oral communication with the help of the language lab. This is managed jointly by the English, Hindi and Malayalam departments and is a common facility for students

Medical Inspection

Every student of the first year Degree and First year PG classes shall attend the medical inspection arranged at the University Health Centre and get a health report.

Failure on the part of a student to report for medical inspection shall be communicated to the University and action may be taken as decided by the University.

Library and Reading Room

College provides facility to all students for reading and borrowing books. Now the library has more than 60,000 books and subscribes to a number of dailies and periodicals. All operations are computerized and a new library software is introduced.
