Instructional facilities 

The college has well - equipped Laboratories

Physical Science Lab. 30 students can do practical at a time 

Natural Science Lab. , very spacious and well - equipped. 25 students can do practical at a time 

Technology Lab. 

It contains the following DLP ,OHP,Slide Projector, Video Camera, Digital Camera, Multimedia projector, Spot light, Tape recorder, PA System, Television, VCR, DVD/VCP Player Etc.. EDUSAT programme also available. 

Psychology Lab. 

Students get occasion to verify the veracity of the theories in Psychology. There is provision for conducting tests and experiments. 

The Computer Lab. A large Computer room with twelve computers has been designed and equipped. Students can use the Computers for dealing with Audio and Video CD ROMs. Access to internet is also available. 

The Language Lab. Our traditional Language Lab. has a Teacher’s Console and Booths provided with head sets and provision for recording and intensive listening. Recently software for Language Lab has been installed in the Computers in the computer room. 

Practice Teaching

Gurukulam High School , Edakulam , located in same campus ,is our Model School. Students of Secondary section are readily available for Micro teaching, Demonstration lessons, Criticism lessons, Innovative lessons , Project work ,etc.

Our Library 

We have an automated Library with above 5733 volumes. There are 256 Books in the Reference section including 35 different volumes of Encyclopedias. There is a reading room having seating capacity of 60. The number of journals is 15. The library provides reprographic facilities like printing, photocopying etc. internet browsing facility is also provided in the library. Functioning time is 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. 

Energy Park 

We have an energy park consisting of solar lantern,solar cooker, portable chulha(furnace), Solar water heater. SPV street lighting system, SPV TV power pack etc. 

Sports and Games

The college has its own play ground, large enough for Cricket, Field Hockey and Athletics. Shuttle Badminton court is provided in the courtyard. There is sufficient arrangements for indoor games like Table Tennis, Caroms, Chess, etc and facilities for Yoga. 

Art Education

Special care is given to bring out the inborn talents in students. Sufficient opportunities are given for this. 

The House System and the Tutorial System

The House System and the Tutorial System are helpful in developing healthy competition and in providing proper guidance.The students of the college are divided into four houses .     

SUPW

In addition to providing community experience facilities for activities under SUPW are provided. The activities come under ‘Service’ or ‘Product’ category. 

College Hostel

We have a large college hostel for girls in the campus itself. It can accommodate up to 60 students. Boys stay in approved hostels. 

Community- Linked Activities

The college gives importance to the involvement of the community. Conscientizing the people on various problems or issues, Literacy work, Survey, School exhibition,etc. are different areas . Conducting Quiz competitions and Personality Development programme for students and celebrations of days of National and International importance also provide occasion for community involvement.

Parent Teacher Association

The Alumni Association

The Alumni Association has been functioning in the college from 1997 onwards. It provides occasion to the old students to visit their Alma Mater and to renew the relationship. The college authorities also get feed back from them.
