Shobha and T.N. Khazanchi Memorial Award: This scholarship was instituted in 2018-19 by Ms Lalita Dhar, former faculty member of the Department of Mathematics, in memory of her parents. It is a need-based scholarship for a B.Sc. (H) Mathematics II year student. The award offers a prize of Rs. 10,000 and a certificate of merit to the students.
The Ms Jai Rani Bhalla Merit with Spirit Scholarship: The Miranda House college scholarship was instituted in the academic year 2017-18 in memory of Ms Jai Rani Bhalla, former faculty member of the Department of Economics, by her niece Ms Sonia Singh. The award is offered to the B.A. (H) Economics semester IV student. The scholarship is provided based on financial needs. The candidate must have a minimum of 5.0 as the average SGPA for previous semesters I to III with no academic backlog and cumulative attendance record. The Department of Economics will select the student following due process. The award offers financial assistance of Rs. 10000 and a certificate of merit.
Sanyukta and D. N. Chaudhari Award for Resident Scholars: The scholarship was instituted in the academic year 2007-08 by Mr D. N. Chaudhari. The Miranda House offers three awards to semesters II, IV and VI students residing in the college hostel. The candidate is selected based on academic merit and economic need, followed by an interview. The students who receive Miranda House scholarships or financial assistance on college fees are eligible. The students who receive a waiver of hostel establishment charges or are receiving scholarships exceeding the college fee are not eligible for the scholarship. In the subsequent year, the recipient of the award must be in the top 25% of their class in the college examinations. The award offers a prize of Rs. 5000 and a certificate of merit.
Mrs Vidya and Mr Basheshar Nath Taneja Scholarship: This scholarship was instituted in the academic year 2017-18 by Dr Poonam Taneja, who studied B.Sc. (H) Chemistry in memory of her parents. The Miranda House scholarship is intended to support a resident student of the science stream for two years of her studies. The award is based on financial need cum merit, cumulative performance in previous semesters with no academic backlog, and cumulative attendance record with at least 75% attendance each semester. The candidate must also participate in co-curricular, extracurricular and department activities. A duly constituted selection committee will select the student for two years. If the student cannot carry the eligibility standards in the next academic year, new applications will be invited from the II year Science stream resident students. The award offers Rs. 60000 and a certificate of merit.
