Facilities :-

MMDCH has developed too spacious educational campus in Dharbhanga city. The educational campus has been equipped with hostels for students of different facilities. Accommodation is available for 300 students. All the hostels buildings are new, modern and spacious. The rooms are properly ventilated and provided with fans, tube light and required furniture. Each student is given a cot, a chair and a table, a tube light and a cupboard (locker).Every hostels has spacious dining hall where meals are provided at reasonable rates fixed by management on contract basis. Each hostel has a T.T hall, Gym and a Recreation hall with a colour T.V set. Hostels have got the telephone (receiving) facility. Internet facilities have also being provided in each hostel.

MEMBERSHIP

All admitted students are required to use libraryfacility effectively. For this purpose, students should obtain Borrowers Tickets(B.T.) from the library by following procedure.
i. They should fill library application card available in the library.
ii. Submit 4 passport size photographs.
iii. Students will get three borrower tickets,two for borrowing two books for home reading.
*One borrower ticket for issuing of one book for the hall reading. In the event of loss or mutilation of borrower ticket, duplicate B.T. shall be issued on deposition of Rs. 100/- with the account section of the college.

RULES

i. All members can borrow one book for a period of 7 days.
ii. A late fee Rs. 10 per day will be charged to defaulters.
iii. Journals, Recent advancees, Years books & References books shall not be issued to any member. They must be read in library hall only.
iv. Every member taking a book out of the library and even for reading within the library is responsible for its safe custody.
v. A person found multilating the pages of books or damaging them shall be debarred from the use of the library.

In the event of its being lost or damage he/she will either replace it or pay the latest cost of replacement, plus 20%s penalty.

DISCIPLINE

i. Talking, spitting, eating, sleeping, putting legs on the table, smolking or any behaviour disturbing others is strictly prohibited and necessary action shall be taken.
ii. All personal belongings like bags, aprons, folder, etc. should be kept on the check counter before they enter the library.
iii. Personal books are not allowed in stack room & journals section.
iv. Any member violating discipline of the library shall be warned twice, next he/she will not be allowed to use library facility for 7 days & subsequently he/she will be permanent debarred from the use of library facilities.

RULES FOR LIBRARIES:

1. Identity Cards are to be shown by the students at the time of entering into the library or borrowing books or whenever asked for by the librarian.
2. No student shall bring outsiders or friends into the college library, nor shall lend, even temporarily, library books borrowed by him/her.
3. Without obtaining special permission from the librarian, nobody shall enter the stack room or any part of the library not ordinary open to him/her.
4. The privileges and facilities of the library may be withdrawn from a student who is a habitual defaulter.

Health Facilities :-

A sprawling state of the art health club over six acers of land is available in the campus. The health club has the following facilities.

Annual Sports Meet-‘Energia’
In the month of january we organize the annual sports meet, which is spread over a period of 3 to 4 weeks. On working days the students play after 4 p.m., on Saturday after 1.30 p.m. & on Sunday the events are held during the entire day . This ensures that no student involved in these activities loses out on the academic front. Events held in this meet are:

Hostel Facilities :- 

"HOME AWAY FROM HOME"

Well-furnished hostels are provided for boys and girls separately with adequate open space and gardens around them. The hostels are looked after through a four-tier system consisting of resident warden, Administrative officer and Hostel Advisory Committee.

 Functioning: 

  1. The hostels are looked after through: 4 tier administrative setup consisting of Hostel Residents Warden, Administrative Officer Managing director & Hostel Advisory Committee that meets once in a month.
  2. Hostel advisory committee:Comprises of the Heads of the Institution , Managing Director ,Resident Wardens & student representative of various phases from all hostels nominated by a committee consisting of the Principal,HODs and Administrative Officer. The student representatives put their problems before the committee in the absence of concerned warden & cognizance of which is immediately taken & compliance is directed from the concerned& suitable administrative orders are issued there to.
  3. Kitchen: The qualified dietician supervises the purchase of commodities, preparation & serving of food and over all hygiene in the kitchen.
  4. Mood boosting: Rector & warden try to keep the students moral up throughout the course.

Discipiline Rules

  1. The hostels rules are framed for the collective benefit of the hostel living, community and smooth running of the hostel.If any of these rules are violated, the parents/guardians may be informed at the discretion of the Rector in addition to suitable action taken against the erring student.
  2. Supervision and control of the students in hostel will rest with the Rector/Warden. Day to day supervision attendance will be taken by the warden and the administrative officer will supervise.
  3. Undertaking to abide by the rules and regulation: Hostel accommodation is made available on the condition that the student and parent/guardian agree to abide by all the rules and regulation.
  4. Allotment of seat/room: seat/room will be allotted taking into consideration the seniority in the course of studies, result of there is need to shift to other room the instructions should be followed.
  5. Interchange of room: Students must occupy only the rooms allotted to them. No mutual exchange of seats/rooms are permitted without the administrative officer’s prior written permission. Any such permitted changes are recorded in the hostel accommodation register by the wardens.
  6. Refusal of admission and cancellation: The hostel administration may refuse admission to the hostel to any applicant or remove a student from the hostel at any time as a disciplinary measure.
  7. Leave of absence: no resident should leave the station or stay away from her/his room during the night except with the prior written permission of the warden. All students leaving hostel with permission for travel must inform their destination address, mode of travel and purpose of travel. This information should also be left with their roommate or neighbours so that they may watch the safety of their belongings at their back. The possible date of return should also be notified and contact number if available.
  8. After leave period is over they should produce guardian’s letter justifying the absence. Leave application should be on plain paper. Leave can be granted by the Warden on Sunday & Holidays. Leave on working days will be granted by M.D on the recommendation of the warden.
  9. Cleanliness : It is the responsibility of all those living in the hostel to keep the area clean. No oneshould throw empty bottles, papers and unwanted articles etc. All these articles of waste must be deposited in the waste paper basket provided in the rooms/corridors.
  10. Students should avoid singing aloud, shouting or making noise including use of tape recorders, radios and transistors beyond the reasonable limit. Silence hours will be observed from 9.30 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. on all days. No noise of any sort will be permitted during silence hours. Serious action will be taken for the breach of these rules.
  11. Students are responsible for the safety of their belongings. They should look the door while going out.
  12. In case of sickness student must immediately report to the OPD/Casualty for necessary treatment. In case student is unable to leave the room and go to the hospital the matter must be reported to the warden immediately by himself, room-mate/neighbours.
  1. Meeting : Residents of the hostel are not permitted to convene meetings of any sort in the hostel premises without the prior permission of the warden. Breach of this rule will be strictly dealt with.
  2. Room Locking up : Students will lock up their rooms and leave keys with Warden when they leave the Hostel during vacation or other long absence. Violation of this rule may be treated as “unauthorized occupation” and the Administrative Officer may break open the lock during such absence if that becomes necessary. This may be result in additional punishment as well.
  3. The Fans, furniture, sanitary fitting and community facilities are provided to give utmost possible comfort to hostel residents. Hence treat them kindly and do not damage them. Any damage to hostel property including driving of nails and defacing walls will be made good at the expenses of occupants of the room or at the expense of the occupants of the block/Hostel as the case may be.
  4. Electrical equipment like water heater, rod, iron etc. are not allowed in the rooms.
  5. Rash/Fast driving is prohibited in hostel and college campus. The vehicles of such students may be confiscated by the competent authority designated by the hostel advisory committee.
